Journaling Can Help

- release negative emotions like pain, frustration, anger and fear;
Writing in your journal allows you to take the pain, hurt, frustration and capture it in one place, instead of having it swirling around in your head, gaining fury. Go ahead and let it all out. You will be able to handle it now and handle it better when it is tiem to talk about it.
- clear confusion and make good decisions more easily;
When I am confused or unlcear about a decision I must make, journaling helps me straighten out my thoughts. Getting things down on paper helps me to see the logical order, and/or the negatives and positives of certain things.
- grasp valuable insights that clear blocks and move you forward;
Journaling is a great tool for forward thinking. You can “what if” everything and look at all the possible solutions. Journaling ideas can spark a breakthrough that will send you light years ahead.
- spark your innate creativity;
Play around when you are journaling. Have some fun with it. Let your mind flow free for a change with no hidden agendas. Trust your intuition and see what happens.
- uncover and nurture a bigger picture for your life;
My picture has gotten bigger as I have read self-help/motivational books and journaled through them. I find it a good way to read that type of book, otherwise it is too easy to say, “I’ll do that,” but by the time you get to the end of the book you have moved on to something else.
- reach new heights in self empowerment.
Journaling is a great way to “try on” new ways of behaving, thinking, talking, etc. See what fits and then go for it!
