The Games Women Play

Female wireless subscribers make up 65% of mobile phone game revenue, according to mobile research firm Telephia.
It said that the “casual nature of mobile games provides tremendous appeal to women, who are not traditionally hardcore gamers”.
Games focused on puzzles and strategy generated the most revenue, the findings showed.
I haven’t downloaded any games to my mobile phone, but that is not to say I am without games. I usually have a few downloaded onto my Pocket PC.
When we were in Klamath Falls my sister and I played endless games of Text Twist trying to outdo each other and playing together to get the highest score.
Just recently I picked up a Nintendo DS Lite. It was my son’s fault. He brought his over with
the game Brain Age
and I was hooked. And if that wasn’t enough I had to get Big Brain Academy
, too.
In Brain Age you train your brain using games and thought-provoking exercises trying to get your brain to the optimal age of 20. Plus it has Sudoku puzzles to wake up that old brain or keep the young one young. My Brain Age hovers between 20 and 21. Not bad.
In Big Brain Academy you play games that build your thinking, analyzing, computing, memory and identify. The better you think, the “bigger” your brain gets. So far I have a C+ brain weighing in a just under 1200 grams.
My son says these are perfect mom games and I would have to agree. I don’t have to use any confusing buttons, just the stylus. Thanks Josh for introducing me to Brain Games!

Oh no… I hope Mark doesn’t read this. He’s been dying to get a DS Lite and he’s going to be SO jealous that you have one. LOL!
