Birthday Plans
- Posted by Theresa on August 2nd, 2006 filed in Anything Goes, My Musings
My birthday is this week (Sunday) and my mom, my sister Kelly and my Aunt Shirley are all coming up from Eugene, Oregon for a visit. They are stopping in Vancouver to pick up my seven year old nephew Hunter, too. David is planning a barbecue for Friday night.

We are all going to go out for dinner to Assaggio’s in downtown Seattle on Saturday for my birthday dinner along with some friends. We’ve eaten there a couple of times (one of my other birthdays as a matter of fact) and it is always an enjoyable dining experience.
I am still trying to figure out something fun for us to do Saturday and Sunday during the day. I have a class to teach Saturday morning for Toastmasters so I am thinking I don’t want to pack too much in because I had to make our reservations for 6pm. So maybe we will go down to the Marina and enjoy the views and visit the Des Moines Saturday Market.

And then there is Sunday…Mom wanted to visit the Seattle Underground but I looked it up and there are 6 flights of stairs and uneven walking so I’m not sure if that will be good for her because of her knee. It is Seafair weekend so Seattle will be BUSY!

I’ll need to think of something without too much walking. My sister is thinking of taking Hunter to the Museum of Flight
and she wants to visit the Museum of Glass in Tacoma which would be great because Dale Chihuly is exhibiting.

I am looking forward to their visit! If you have any great ideas for fun this weekend let me know…just remember Mom is 71 and Aunt Shirley is 81. And just for the record Kelly is 43. And how old will I be on Sunday??? It doesn’t really matter because I am only as old as I feel and I feel great!

Sounds like such a fun weekend! I wish Mark and I could be there. Fremont is always fun and they have a Farmers Market. I saw they have something called “Sunday Ice Cream Cruises”. I’ve never been but it sounds fun! The little blurb said “This is typical Seattle - riding around on a ferry, having snacks, and checking out Lake Union’s famous house boats, Dale Chihuly’s, Sleepless in Seattle among along our colorful waterfront”.
