What About Pluto? (Part 3)

My friend Anna commented about Pluto the same day I wrote my post What About Pluto?(2) when I said she hadn’t commented about it. Here is what she said:

Unfortunately, only 5% of the astronomers is all it took to change Pluto’s status from the Kingpin of the underworld to a lesser than. However, Pluto is well able to handle the challenge. Wherever Pluto falls in our charts, it’s our “point of transformation”. We currently have 5 generations in our midst, and two of those are squaring one another, and 1 trines the other. Pluto in Cancer (1914-1938), squares the Pluto in Libra (1972-1983) generation, and Pluto in Virgo (1957-1972) squares Pluto in Sagittarius (1995-2008), and Pluto in Sag trines Pluto in Leo (1938-1957). With so many generations going through transformations and coming into their own “being”, it can be expected there will be challenges and transitions that affect us all. If Pluto conjuncts our Sun (Leo, I’m speaking to you), along with Saturn (which is currently transiting Leo), then Leo you are the focal point this year and next, and for the rest of us, wherever we have Leo in our lives/charts. There’s much more on this topic, and those that know me to wane a little too philosophical I have saved the “more” for a later time….

I have to be honest with you (I already told Anna)…It doesn’t make any sense to me. It all sounds like a foreign language - where I understand the words, but not the meanings assigned to them.

To me astrology is in the same category as religion where we fall for the confirmation bias - we look for and find evidence for what we already believe.

I was curious as to what astrologists would have to say about Pluto the same way I would be curious if the religious community suddenly found out the Book of John was a hoax (or something like that). Ha, ha - wouldn’t that be wild?

Anna says:

Faith does seem to be a factor in all of this. Maybe some need the confirmation bias because it helps maintain faith? I don’t know. It doesn’t work that way for me. My faith has gotten stronger the older I get, and the more distance I get from religion of any kind, and at heart I’m just a research nut with a knack for languages and finding interest in those things that go against grain.
I sure appreciate your thoughts!

And Anna, I appreciate yours.
