Make Your Own Choices

I read that 80 - 90 percent of the world’s population is associated with one religion or another. The majority of these people hold the same religious beliefs as their parents and grandparents held.
This is the way many of us seem to make decisions: we don’t investigate, reflect upon, or question our beliefs, assumptions and opinions; many of which have been passed on from generation to generation.
We have the opportunity and the responsibility to make our own choices. We have the ability to think and make independent decisions. We can make important life decisions based on our own values and beliefs instead of being guided by our unconscious influences passed down to us from our family tree. We can decide what is important for us.
Learn to think and act, not out of habit or based on the expectations of those around you, but with your own creative and independent ideas based on your investigations, reflections, beliefs and opinions.
