Let Go

Just by living our everyday lives, we are affected by so many things that we have no control over - some good, some bad, and some just are. We need to be able to create the emotional space within ourselves to respond to life rather than just react to it.
We need to learn to stand back and get perspective. We need to gain an understanding of the situation and plan the best way to move forward. We need a mini-time-out. give yourself this gift whenever you need it.
You can only control your reaction to an event, not the event itself. Don’t take it personally. Life happens. It didn’t happen to you, it just happened. Take a mini-time-out and take a look at it from the outside. Take a moment and gather yourself and then you will be able to respond with a clearer understanding of what you can control.
